It’s A Call It Spring Giveaway!!

May 31, 2011

Since my first giveaway was a success I believe I want to host another one. I along with Call It Spring would like to host a giveaway. So, let’s get this new school year started the right way — with 3k worth of Call It Sping GC’s!!!! So, just follow these simple steps and get a chance to win..

1. Like Patricia Prieto and Call It Spring on Facebook.

2. Follow patriciaprieto on Twitter and tweet to me telling me that you’re joining my giveaway. And spread the word while you’re at it (the more the merrier)!!

3. Leave a comment on this post with your full name (or at least the one you have on Facebook), twitter username, email address and your answer to this little question of mine..

How can I incorporate one of my new shoes (see photos below — just pick one for this question) into a new look? Would you make it edgy like my usual style or help me “switch it up” for something new?

(Black Wedges: Maltese || Camel Mocs: Dinges)
Want to make it a whole lot easier for you (by not typing that much) you can use programs/sites like Polyvore, Looklet or Photoshop in order for me to see them. Just post the link on to the comment to save on time — PLUS it’s so much fun! Like this for example.. I used the black Maltese Wedges and created something. You can copy, render or create a whole new one!

This contest starts today and ends on June 14, a Tuesday. I along with a panel of “judges” will well.. Judge your styling suggestions.. OH!! And to the winner? I’ll do my VERY best to bring the look you styled to life in a look post, so wait up for that!! 😉 ENJOY, GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!!! ♥

I could use the Black Maltese wedges and pair them with jeans and a loose tailored top, piled on with loads and loads of accessories. People usually wear wedges with dresses, but I think wedges with jeans look so much more sexier, giving it a kind of edge. 😉

For the question, here is how I imagine you can wear the Maltese wedges:

For accessories and bag, I think your usual layered bracelets / bangles and stuff will suffice + a leather shoulder bag 🙂

yay! this giveaway was super easy to join since i’m already following you on twitter and i already liked the fan pages beforehand. hmm, i don’t see you wear moccasins so I’d choose the Dinges. People usually wear shoes like that with shorts or jeans because of its relaxed feel but i’m thinking it’d better to wear it with a dress to change it up a bit. A tribal dress (I saw a nice long sleeved one in WAGW) or a flutter sleeved dress in a loud color (since I’ve read you wanted to incorporate more color in your wardrobe!) cinched with a skinny braided belt + piled on bangles would be my peg for you! :))

i hope it doesnt sound too cliche, cause in my head it looks awesome :”>>

(Black Wedges: Maltese) For me I will use it with Skinny fit jeans, plain top, and accesories! the shoes itself will make the entire outfit! 🙂 i love wedges! and I think I won’t dare to change your style, because your style shows up who you are and for me it’s a total package, that’s why i’m such a fan of yours! 🙂

Hi Ms. Patricia! 🙂 I’m Vrea. 15 yrs/old. I’ll put my answer into essay. For me to express more. The shoes that I want to emphasize on is the Camel Mocs: Dinges. I chose this because for me, even though you’re not wearing heels, you can still rock what you’re wearing. Besides, everyone liked being comfortable on what they wear. As I can see on your looks po, your usually like edgy. And I want to see you switch up, to step out of your shell and set a new trend. This Camel Mocs can simply be paired with pants and a matching top. This could also be paired with a denim shorts and a plain white loos shirt, tacked it in with a brown belt or maybe a shorts again and a white chiffon. It’s simple, yet comfortable. As to what they say, simplicity is beauty and good shoes will lead you to good places. 😀

First of all :3, I would like to thanks you for having a cool giveaway like this 😀 I’m so blessed :3 because you gave me an opportunity to join in your giveaway. Second I think what’s important is you feel good and comfortable because for me style is how you wear your confidence 😀 In my opinion I don’t think you need to switch up your style. You become what you are now because of your edgy but chic style ❤ Btw! My choice: you can pair your Camel Mocs: Dinges with a cute floral dress and a cool blazer, just like the picture in the link : http://weheartit.com/entry/10316867. When I saw this picture last week , it reminds me of you ❤ Just jazz it up a cute set of studded bangles and ring/s and you ready to go 😀 PERFECT<3

Since i’ve been following you for qout a year now, and i’ve noticed that your style IS edgy and more of the fierce-and-black side, i would definitely throw in somcething more “chill” to take a break and look more like the princess you are (kate middleton reference). Just keep your chin up and forget about all those haters. Ayway, what they say doesnt count. We still love you 🙂

    While I admire your ability to wear contradictory pieces and still look fashionably well put together (for instance, how you rocked a floral frock cinched at the waist with a studded belt and paired with bad-ass heels at the Bloggers United Bazaar), I thought it would be nice to be more “consistent” for a change by working with the overall girlishness of the wedges. I chose a palette of muted and, for the lack of a better word, girly colors. The black of the shoe was enough black for this outfit. (;

I kept the look casual by using an over-sized sweater, and I did not overdo the feminine by incorporating structure (the trousers) and a certain roughness (the denim jacket). Because most of the pieces in this ensemble are nearing neutral shades, the accessories provide quite lovely accents, therefore completing the look.

I used the black wedges for the look I made in Looklet. I kind of mixed the summer feel and the gloomy weather we have now. The black details matches the gloomy weather while the summer/spring outfit fits the hot temperature we have now. The whole outfit is simple but something that would stand out. I named this outfit Fearless [after Tay’s song].

    (This is my second entry.)

I thought I’d show the versatility of the mocs by incorporating it in two different ensembles:
The first one is a little more casual — I imagine it would be the perfect attire for a picnic! On the other hand, I can picture you wear the second one at a business meeting with your boss or her clients. As an intern for a fashion designer, I figured you ought to look more professional while donning some of the latest trends. (I thought your hair would look nice in an up-do or a single braid, and the ribbon hair clips would make the great accents.)

In this look, I made sure to include necklaces/earrings/bracelets since I noticed how you like accessorizing. I chose the dinge moccasins as a personal preference since they’re very practical for everyday wear. The color palette would probably be something new to what you usually wear to but I went for looks that are basically your style, casual but still chic 🙂

I would pair the black wedges with a Bohemian or gypsy-style dress. The flowy dress will give contrast to the bulky and solid wedge heel, which translates to a simple yet trendy outfit.

The one I made is similar to your edgy style but a bit more feminine because I chose a floral blue dress for a soft, country vibe. Since the weather in the Philippines is so unpredictable, I came up with something that you can wear rain or shine. You can bring out the straw Panama hat and aviator sunglasses when Mr.Sun is striking hot. Meanwhile, just cover up with an orange cardigan when it is breezy. The blue shoulder bag is water proof so you need not worry about your valuables. To complete the attire, layer with mixed bangles.

I hope you like it 🙂

I chose the black wedges and styled it with something that can be worn with this bipolar weather. You still have that summer feel because of the shorts and the floral blazer. Yet, the blazer gives you warmth. The look is a little girly, but still edgy. Also, I included accessories that match the whole outfit. ☺☺

Your black wedges from Maltese is quite girly because of the ruffle design. To incorporate a new and contrasting look, I paired it with a boy shirt, striped shorts and structured yellow bag. You may wear it with yellow leggings for a retro vibe. The hat and shades complete the Rizal look. 🙂

-I would like to pair outfits with the brown flats. It’s nice and uncommon. I would suggest to wear it with a flowy top with nice spring/floral prints or even just a plain one. Then, a nice plain white skirt or shorts for the bottom. Feather earrings will be the best accessory. A brown/vintage styled cardigan will also be nice to add up. You can carry a bohemian or vintage bags. Floral ring and different vintage bracelets for the hands.

The Camel Mocs: Dinges best suits with a loose white/cream top while you’re wearing a plain bright colored bando band beneath it. And you can pair it with a any kinds of shorts but I mostly prefer wash out denim shorts. Also, you can wear a short sleeve colored cardigan ( mostly pink, yellow or blue colors so that it will give your outfit a touch of color ). 🙂 Simply as that. 🙂

It’s already rainy season but most of the time the weather still extremely hot. Wearing a bright orange high waist skirt paired with a cute comfy top and statement is fun. The leopard print belt gives an accent plus the bangles ,bracelet, ribbon cuff and the oh so cute pink lips earrings make it chic and funky. Fresh look using a pink lipstick and scent is just enough. The satchel and flats is just perfect for school and running errands. 🙂

    Camel Mocs: Dinges

Because of the unpredictable weather of our country, I picked up an outfit for you that suits with an outerwear when the weather gets suddenly cold but will still have your edgy style without the cover-up when it seemed to get sunny. I used a blue cardigan or a black blazer for this look because you already have those. 🙂 A pair of shorts will go well with the top (and it looks good on you!), and add on your chunky black necklaces to get your “edgy” style and a brown braided belt because it goes perfectly with the Dinges.

Don’t change your style, it makes you unique! 🙂

http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=32656383 I think the top and shorts look really elegant, then I added feather earring to make it distinct. I remember how you style feather earrings. :”) And I think your style is classy meets edgy, so I thought of this look. Hope you like! 🙂

answer to the question ‘How can I incorporate one of my new shoes into a new look? Would you make it edgy like my usual style or help me “switch it up” for something new?’
Suggest to wear the wedges with skinny jeans or leggings and a boyfriend polo. nice smart casual look 🙂
